Chalk is a simple task management app built for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Chalk handles your information.
Chalk does not collect or store any personally identifiable information. All tasks and data you create in Chalk are stored locally on your device. If you are signed into iCloud, your data may also be synced across your devices using Apple's CloudKit service. This sync is handled entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's own Privacy Policy.
If you have iCloud enabled, Chalk uses Apple's CloudKit framework to sync your tasks and boards across your devices. Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is not accessible to us. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in your device's Settings.
Chalk requests access to your microphone solely to allow you to add tasks using your voice. Audio is processed using Apple's Speech Recognition framework, which may use Apple's servers to transcribe your speech. We do not record, store, or transmit any audio or voice data. Microphone access can be revoked at any time in your device's Settings.
Chalk uses TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous, privacy-first usage signals (such as which features are used and how often). TelemetryDeck is designed so that no personal data or device identifiers are ever collected. The data is fully anonymous and cannot be used to identify you. You can learn more at telemetrydeck.com.
Chalk offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (Chalk Pro) through Apple's App Store. All payments and subscription management are handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect or store any payment or billing information.
